47 school closures have been announced for Wednesday as the UK snow storm enters its third day of chaos. Flurries are set to return to the country as we head through the first month of the year in the wake of Christmas and the New Year.
Flurries could sweep the UK AGAIN on Wednesday, January 8, with the white stuff blanketing Wales and Scotland amid a swathe of weather warnings. Whilst not all areas may be affected, outbreaks of snow may push in from the southwest during Wednesday, potentially giving some significant accumulations in places.
The Met Office says showers of rain and sleet near coasts, and snow inland, will continue to affect Northern Ireland this afternoon and into this evening. Overnight, showers should become confined to coastal areas, the agency has added.
