The stabbing happened on the junction of Oxford Street and South Molton Street today (January 1) at around 4:06am.
A 25-year-old man was found with a stab wound after police were called to the scene following reports of “men with knives”.
A number of resources were despatched to the scene including a member of London Ambulance Service’s Tactical Response Unit and an air ambulance.
Crews arrived within four minutes before treating the man, who was taken to hospital.
Police are currently awaiting further updates on his condition.
A crime scene is currently in place and an investigation underway.
No arrests have been made.
A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called 4.06am this morning (Wednesday 1 January) to reports of a stabbing incident at the junction of South Molton Street and Oxford Street, W1S.
“We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car, a member of our Tactical Response Unit and London’s Air Ambulance.
“The first of our crews arrived in four minutes.
“Our crews treated a man at the scene, before taking him to hospital.”
A spokesperson for Met Police said: “At 04:04hrs on Wednesday, 1 January police were called to Oxford Street, just outside Bond Street Underground Station, following reports of men armed with knives.
“Officers attended and at the junction of Oxford Street and South Molton Street they found a 25-year-old man with a stab wound.
“He has been taken to hospital and we await an update on his condition.
“An investigation is underway and a crime scene remains in place.
“At this early stage there have been no arrests.
