Yobs abuse McDonald’s staff as parents asked ‘do you know where your children were’

A group of young yobs have caused havoc at a McDonald’s site in Staffordshire prompting police to ask parents ‘do you know where your children were?. Chaos was caused by a group of youths ‘misbehaving’ at the Burntwood McDonald’s in Milestone Way, Chasetown last Saturday (December 28).

The youngsters were using abusive language to staff and causing trouble while families with young children ate nearby. Police said the kids were ‘taking sugar shots, stacking up sauce pots in towers, leaving a mess and taking advantage of the facilities’.

Some of the youths had vapes despite being under age. And were asked to leave after being refused service.

When they refused to leave the site and had to be escorted off the premises with Staffordshire Police officers then called. The Lichfield Police team posted on Facebook and said: “Parents/Guardians, do you know where your children were [on Saturday]?

“Local PCSOs and police officers were called to McDonalds, Burntwood [in the] evening after staff were struggling with a group of youths misbehaving. They continued to use foul and abusive language to the staff and the officers until some youths were taken home to their parents/guardians.

“The rest were escorted off the premises. Vapes were also confiscated due to the users being underage. Details were taken of these youths and they will be dealt with in due course for their disrespectful behaviour tonight, which is not going to be tolerated in the community.”
