The mother of a missing teenager has asked people to “Hold on to [their] loved ones tightly” as the search for her 18-year-old son continues. Joseph Bellamy was last seen leaving his home in Caldicot, Wales, between midnight and 1am on Tuesday, December 3 2024, with CCTV footage later captured the youngster cycling on a red pushbike towards the M48 Severn Bridge.
Today, Wednesday, January 1, Joseph’s mother Natasha Bellamy wrote that they understand why so many are “sad and broken” over Christmas: “We welcome in the New Year of much needed light and hope, as the search for our beautiful boy, Joseph, continues. I finally get why many people are sad and broken during the festive period. I admit I never understood it, until recently.
“Hold on to your loved ones tightly, don’t let a day pass without telling them how much you love them.”
Joseph, who has been missing for over four weeks, is described as white with mousy hair and blue eyes. He is six foot tall and was last seen wearing light colour jeans with black Jordan 4s Black Cat Retro mid-top Nike trainers and a black Teddy fleece jumper with a black sweatshirt underneath.
Gwent Police said: “We’re appealing for information to find Joseph Bellamy, 18, who is missing. Joseph was last seen leaving his home address in Caldicot between midnight and 1am on Tuesday 3 December.
“He was later captured on CCTV cycling on a red pushbike towards the M48 bridge. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call us on 101 or send us a direct message on social media, quoting log reference 2400400170.
