BBC Jools Holland’s Hootenanny – How to watch and full line-up revealed

Jools Holland’s Hootenanny is returning to TV screens this New Year’s Eve with another celebrity-packed party. A tradition for many ringing in the bells at home, the BBC celebration will include several household names, a rousing rendition of Auld Lang Syne, and countdown to 2025.

A audience of famous faces will also be on hand to offer predictions and resolutions for the coming year. As always, Jools will be joined by his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra, his band of almost 40 years.

There will also be performances from former Little Mix-member Jade Thirwall, Irish icons The Boomtown Rats, Queen legend Roger Taylor and many more. Keep reading to find out how to catch all the action.

How to watch Jools Holland’s Hootenanny

You can join Jools and his guests from 11.30pm on BBC Two on December 31. The show can also be watched at a later date on BBC iPlayer.

According to the TV listing, the show will last two hours and nine minutes. This means things should wrap up just after 1:30am.

Although presented as though live, the show and its musical acts are actually pre-recorded. According to BBC bosses, filming takes usually takes place sometime in early December.

The stellar line-up will likely be playing a mix of their top hits and festive favourites but the playlist is yet to be revealed.
