The Traitors host Claudia Winkleman has revealed a long-term health battle is having a serious impact on her day-to-day life.
Claudia says after not “standing up straight” for 52 years, an instructor is now trying to correct her posture once and for all.
Opening up about the long-term issue, the presenter declared: “My body is made entirely of crepe. [I’m] falling apart.”
Explaining her journey so far, she went on to say: “I’ve got a bad back and I need some form of strength. You know what I mean? I’ve got my core.
“They talked to me about parts of my body. They said, ‘The problem is you’ve never used your lats’. I was like, ‘What is that?’. Apparently, so my shoulders are up by my neck. I’m always like (demonstrates her posture).
“And I don’t like the look of people standing up straight. It feels somehow cocky, so my stance has always been like a turtle.”
Lats is the common shortened name used for the latissimus dorsi muscle, one of the largest muscles of the back.
Pilates, in various forms, helps to improve major muscle groups as well as posture, flexibility, strength, balance and body awareness.
Claudia Winkleman also suffers from Myopia, also known as near-sightedness and short-sightedness

“I’ve now got so many backbones. So I go to Pilates and they try and open me up,” she added on Gabby Logan’s The Mid.Point podcast.
“When they do open me up and I sit or stand like I’m supposed to, like that, I mean, it feels alien.”
In the same podcast, Claudia issued an update about her long-term eye condition, Myopia.
According to the NHS, short-sightedness (myopia) is a very common eye condition where you cannot see objects far away clearly. It can be corrected or improved with glasses or contact lenses.
Claudia has said the condition has caused her to walk into walls, not being able to drive or see herself properly as well as struggles with reading.
Despite undergoing two lots of eye surgery, the presenter admits she still has issues, particularly when it comes to reading but thankfully has glasses to help.
“Because I was so short-sighted, by them fixing it, I’m not long-sighted, so I can’t really read anymore. I can with glasses, I’ve got 2.5,” she added.
