A person has died on the track following an incident at Tooting Broadway station on December 28. Emergency services were called to the London Underground station shortly after 8am.
London Ambulance Service confirmed the person received treatment, but died at the scene. Police shut the station for one hour before it reopened shortly before 9.15am.
A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called 8.01am on Saturday, December 28 to reports of an incident in Tooting Broadway Underground Station, SW17.

“We sent a number of resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response car, members of our Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) and an incident response officer.
“The first of our crews arrived in four minutes. Our crews assessed a patient at the scene. Sadly, despite the best efforts of emergency services, the patient died at the scene.”
