Fire crews were called to an early morning fire at a garage in Llanharan, Rhondda Cynon Taf. The alarm was raised just before 7.30am on Friday morning (January 3). South Wales Police also attended the incident which they describe as “ongoing”.
South Wales Fire and Rescue Service crews from Bridgend, Pencoed and Pontypridd attended the garage and extinguished the fire. Photos from the scene show the wrecked garage, with destroyed shutters and charred contents.

A spokesperson for SWFRS said: “At approximately 7:19am on Friday 3rd January 2025, South Wales Fire and Rescue Service were called to a fire at a garage on Chapel Road, Llanharan.
“Crews from Bridgend, Pencoed and Pontypridd attended the scene and extinguished the fire. A stop message was received at 8:35am.”
A spokesperson for South Wales Police added: “South Wales Police was called just before 7:50am this morning by South Wales Fire and Rescue Service notifying us of a fire at a garage on Chapel Road, Llanharan. The incident is ongoing.”
