Cars crash near McDonald’s drive-thru as emergency services rush to scene

Police were called to the scene after two cars crashed through a fence outside McDonald’s.

A picture from the scene in Euxton show a white car and a black car side by side on the grass verge above the drive-thru. The incident happened on Foxhole Road, near the Tesco roundabout, earlier this morning (January 3).

Lancashire Police said the incident was classed as ‘damage only’ and no injuries were reported. The crash happened amid icy conditions on the roads after temperatures plummeted overnight.

It’s understood that a recovery vehicle arrived around midday to remove the cars. In a post on a local community Facebook page, Barry Pearson said: “Be careful on Tesco roundabout.

“Two unfortunate souls nearly finished up in McDonalds. Emergency services on the scene.”

Locals were quick to respond to the picture, with one saying “Should of gone to Specsavers” while another said “They must have been really curious of what’s between the two fences”.

A third wrote “You can’t park there Dave!!” while another commented “That’s a slightly unconventional route into the drive through”.
