A number of planned roadworks will cause traffic disruption and road closures in the London Borough of Hillingdon throughout January and into February. Affected areas include Uxbridge, Hayes, Northwood, and Eastcote.
In Uxbridge, the New Road will be closed from the junction of Uxbridge Road to the junction of Connaught Close for three weeks from 8am Monday (January 6) until Monday, January 27. The works will be carried out by Cadent Gas on underground pipes.
Road users should only assume that the closure has been put into effect if traffic signs have been erected stating that the road has been closed and the diversion route is in place. There will be diversions in place northbound via West Drayton Road, and southbound via Harlington Road, Lees Road, Uxbridge Road, and West Drayton Road.
In Hayes, Drenon Square will be closed from the junction of Longmead Road to outside the common boundary of 21 Drenon Square for five weeks between Monday (January 6) and Monday, February 10. The works which will be carried out by Cadent Gas will not lead to any diversions.
However, only vehicles needing to access properties on or near the closed section of the road are allowed through. This includes residents, delivery drivers, and emergency services.

In Northwood, planned renewal works will be carried out by BT for one day between Wednesday (January 8) and Thursday (January 9). Briarwood Drive will temporarily close from the junction of Oakdale Drive to the junction of Joel Street.
A diversion route will be in place via Briarwood Drive, Pinner Road, and Joel Street. Only vehicles needing to access properties on or near the closed section of the road are allowed through. This includes residents, delivery drivers, and emergency services.
In Eastcote, planned works will be carried out by Cadent Gas between Monday, February 17 and Saturday, February 22. The work will lead to the closure of The Chase from the junction of Bridle Road to the rear of Missouri Court. Diversion routes will be in place via Bridle Road, Rushdene Road and The Chase.
