Coronation Street has released an explosive first look trailer at upcoming episodes.
Taking to social media on Friday night, the hit ITV soap shared a chilling video montage of future scenes, captioned: “It’s never just the person that held the knife. It’s the people living in fear, thinking they’re next”.
In the trailer, it sees a poignant poster saying #StopKnifeCrime before it cuts to a bloodied Mason Radcliffe lying on the floor attacked.
The next clip sees a nervous Lauren Bolton in court as part of the trial for the murder of Joel Deering. The evil character was found dead back in October following a disappearance and it was soon revealed that Lauren was the killer after a whodunnit as she hit Joel’s head with a rock in order to save Max Turner’s life.
As Lauren sits in court awaiting her fate, someone in the room is head saying: “You felt he deserved to die” while someone else is heard saying: “It’s the people living in fear, thinking they’re next.”

The next scenes see Mason’s brothers Matty and Logan attacking Dylan Wilson while Betsy Swain is seen in tears while a scared David Platt looks out his window. The video ends with Rob Donovan’s return teased as it sees the criminal in his prison cell.
Taking to Twitter, now X, to respond to the clip one person said: “Corrie bringing the goods in January for us”, a different account wrote: “Can’t wait for all scenes to air”, another wrote: “These scenes are going to be amazing. Can’t wait for next week” while a different account added: “Literally can’t wait for all these scenes – corrie at its best. Drama through& through.”
On Friday night, Betsy was angry to read texts on Mason’s phone from Stu Carpenter offering him a job in Germany as a trainee chef.
A devastated Betsy ordered him to leave and at the exact same time, DS Lisa Swain arrived home and demanded to know what was going on. After realising her daughter was upset, she chased after Mason before dropping a bombshell.
Lisa decided to show Mason some photos taken at the crime scene of her late wife Becky’s death and revealed that his brothers Matty and Logan were driving the car that mowed Becky down.

Mason was shocked over the footage and vowed to send his brothers down for good as he sought help from Dylan, asking him to keep a lookout for him while he searched Matty and Logan’s flat.
Thankfully, Mason was able to find some incriminating evidence as he arrived at the police station and handed Lisa a WWII helmet that he found at the flat. Lisa handed over the evidence to Kit Green, pointing out it was the item stolen from the crime scene and had the same ID as the soldier.
It wasn’t long until Matty and Logan were arrested, where they asked for a solicitor. Meanwhile, Mason realised he had to leave the cobbles as his brothers would be out for revenge and he planned to accept Stu’s job in Germany for a better life.
It comes as Mason will be left fighting for his life after being the victim of a horrifying attack next week. After being quizzed by Kit about the WWII helmet, Matty and Logan come looking for their brother. Finding Dylan and Mason, the brothers give chase and catch Mason before viciously attacking him.

As Dylan makes his escape, he screams at them to stop, but to no avail. Abi Webster then finds Mason bleeding from a stab wound in the children’s play area. She pulls off her scarf and does her best to stem the flow of blood whilst shouting for help. The ambulance arrives and Dylan explains to Asha Alahan how Mason has been stabbed by his brothers, Matty and Logan, using a zombie knife.
In the back of the ambulance, Betsy holds Mason’s hand as she and Abi do their best to reassure him that he’s going to be okay. The stabbing is soon the talk of the street as news spreads that the police have found the knife. Will Mason be okay?
