Emergency services were called to the hotel where they found a woman had died

A woman was found dead in a city centre hotel last night. Merseyside Police confirmed officers were called to the Dixie Dean Hotel on Victoria Street last night (Sunday, December 29) to reports of a concern for the safety of a woman.
Police said when emergency services arrived they found a woman had died. The woman’s death is not being treated as suspicious. Her next of kin have been notified and a report is in the process of being prepared for the coroner’s office.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: “Police were called to reports of a concern for safety of a woman in a Liverpool city centre hotel yesterday evening, Sunday 29 December. Emergency services were called to the Dixie Dean Hotel on Victoria Street and sadly found a woman was deceased.
“Her death is being treated as non-suspicious. Her next of kin have been informed and a report is being prepared for the Coroner’s Office.”
