Saturday Kitchen hilarity ensues as Sara Pascoe’s cutlery mishap leads to laughter-filled episode

Saturday Kitchen descended into “chaos” with guests in fits of laughter as guest Sara Pascoe dropped cutlery.

Matt Tebbutt welcomed fellow chefs Nathan Outlaw, Georgina Hayden, wine connoisseur Helen McGinn, and comedian Sara Pascoe on Saturday morning (January 4).

The group looked on as Matt Tebbutt and Gurdeep Loyal, chef and author, engaged in conversation on food trends expected to hit by 2025 while sampling some contemporary culinary dishes.

As they savoured an Italian Caspari Salad loaded with mozzarella, figs, basil, and olive oil, the diners were asked to sprinkle their plates with grated frozen gherkin.

Gurdeep Loyal shared that the zesty frozen pickle brought a “sourness” and a “delicious” vinegar tang to the dish.

However, when Sara Pascoe attempted to grate her gherkin she joked, “I shouldn’t really be doing this after two glasses of wine” as she struggled with the pickle.

The Express reports how guests joked how the table was “messy” with the former Great British Sewing Bee host suggesting she might need gloves.

But it was when Gurdeep carried on describing up-and-coming food fads that Sara accidentally dropped her cutlery. She buried her face in her hands in embarrassment while Georgina Hayden and Helen McGinn chuckled beside her.

Grasping her grater, Sara remarked, “This is one piece of cutlery too many”. The comedian then leaned across Helen to retrieve her utensil as the wine expert continued to laugh.

Gurdeep Loyal simply remarked, “Chaos”, while Matt Tebbutt exchanged a knowing glance with the comedian.

Comedian Sara Pascoe graced the Saturday morning cooking show to discuss her upcoming tour I Am A Strange Gloop, set to sweep the UK and Ireland in 2025.

Pascoe, known for her appearances on shows like The Great British Sewing Bee, Out of Her Mind, Have I Got News for You, and 8 Out of 10 Cats, has made a mark with her acting and comedic skills.
