Damaged tracks in Ladywell to affect Southeastern Hayes Line

Network Rail has confirmed that from January 6 (Monday) the Hayes Line will undergo a number of temporary changes whilst repair work is underway.

This follows from damage to the tracks at Ladywell, with repair works set to take place over next week.

The works, which require specifically produced parts, will impose a number of restrictions on the line running between Lewisham and Hayes.

The stations affected:

  • Ladywell
  • Catford Bridge
  • Lower Sydenham
  • New Beckenham
  • Clock House
  • Elmers End
  • Eden Park
  • West Wickham
  • Hayes

How will this impact travel?

Network Rail has advised that until the repairs have been completed trains will not stop at certain stations either to or from London for at least three weeks, starting January 6.

For trains travelling towards London, some trains won’t stop at Eden Park or New Beckenham throughout the day and during peak times.

Additionally, some trains won’t stop at Lower Sydenham or West Wickham whilst repairs are underway.

For trains going from London, some trains won’t stop at Eden Park or New Beckenham, but during peak periods trains will still stop at these stations.

Network Rail has advised passengers to allow extra time for their journeys whilst repairs are underway, with people advised to check journey plans on Sunday evening for Monday.
