Davina McCall has reportedly made a major career decision after her health scare led her to a sudden “realisation”.
The 57-year-old is continuing to recover from major surgery after doctors discovered she had a benign tumour in her brain. The star revealed the colloid cyst – a rare liquid-filled tumour – was around “14 mm wide” and “had to come out”.
The Masked Singer panellist is said to be recovering well almost two months after her health ordeal began. Davina’s partner Michael Douglas, 49, last month revealed she was planning to return to work by the middle of January.

And she has already made her first public appearance since the operation. She broke down in tears when delivering a short speech for the Brain Tumour Research Campaign.
“I’m crying already, that didn’t go well,” she said, stepping on to the stage. “I lost my sis to a brain tumour in 2012,” she continued, before opening up about her own diagnosis.

Insiders say the tumour has given Davina a new outlook on life, with the star wanting to spend her time with her nearest and dearest, even if that means turning down jobs. A source told Heat magazine: “She was always on the go before her surgery, working on TV shows and brand collaborations, as well as her fitness.
“Now she’s had time to reflect, and she’s realised what she wants is a simpler life and to spend quality time with the people she loves as well as more rest and downtime.”
Davina – who is mum to Holly, 23, Tilly, 21, and Chester, 18, from her first marriage – is now said to have decided that “health comes first”. The star is now said to feel as though she has been “put on the planet for a reason”.
She is also said to think about her sister Caroline “every day”. Caroline died in 2012 after being diagnosed with lung cancer, which later spread to her brain, leaving her with two brain tumours.
