Jamie Oliver says son Buddy has ‘changed from a boy into a man’ in rare video

Jamie Oliver’s son Buddy is following in his father’s culinary footsteps, and the proud dad couldn’t resist sharing his admiration on Instagram. The 13 year old has released his own cookbook titled ‘Let’s Cook’, and Jamie posted a video of Buddy confidently making a serving of potato and pesto focaccia bread from the book.

Alongside the clip, Jamie expressed his pride writing: “When I told you lot that 2024 is the year Buddy changed from a boy into a man, I wasn’t joking!! Check him out cooking up the potato and pesto focaccia from his book Let’s Cook.

“So proud of this kid, it’s unreal. What’ve you guys cooked up from the book so far? ? xxx.”

Fans were quick to comment, with one saying, “The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. You must be very proud of him,” while another exclaimed, “Wow, I am a regular viewer and missed this. Love his videos and recipes.”

A third fan noted, “Oh my goodness, he’s so grown up! ” The video was filmes at the Oliver family’s impressive £6 million, 70-acre Essex home, Spains Hall.

Buddy has already been making waves in the culinary world with his own cooking show, Cooking Buddies. The premise of the show involves Buddy swapping skills with another young person – he teaches them how to whip up a simple meal, and they teach him something they excel at, like basketball or ice skating.

Speaking about his experience filming the show, Buddy told The Telegraph: “Making the TV show was epic – it was really fun to learn some cool new skills from other kids, but also to teach them dishes that they can share with their friends.”

As for his famous father’s involvement in the show, Buddy admitted it was “a bit annoying when Dad came over” to join him on screen, “but overall it was nice and fun.”
