Met Office London hourly weather forecast and yellow warnings for snow

A yellow weather warning for snow and ice is in place for London today (January 5) until 11:59pm, following yesterday’s weather warning for snow and ice.

Met Office has warned that some areas could see snow and freezing rain, with amber warnings in place for parts of Northern England and Wales.

Some snowfall could happen early in the morning, becoming patchy throughout the afternoon.

The Met Office has advised that it is not certain where the snow will occur in East and Southern England, but any snowfall is likely to turn into rain.

Rain is expected in London throughout much of the morning, with temperatures potentially reaching lows of 2 °C in the early hours.

Due to the weather, some roads and rail services may be impacted with people being advised to check journeys before travelling today, along with delayed or cancelled rail and air travel.
