Every dog deserves a loving home.
Sadly each year many find themselves in rescue centres due to their difficult circumstances at home. The RSPCA currently has a rehoming crisis with animals coming into shelter faster than they can be rehomed.
Shelters in Lancashire have a range of dogs looking to be matched with their perfect home, from Poppy, the one-eyed Frenchie who does not let her vision stop her from enjoying her adventures to adorable siblings Bear, Ghost and Amy who just need loving homes.

Adorable ball of fluff Bear arrived at the centre alongside his two siblings after welfare concerns. Nothing seems to get him down, he is always excited to meet new people and wants nothing more than to be close to people.
He loves a good cuddle and will climb into your lap to be as close as possible. Bear loves being out and exploring his environment, having lots of sniffs in the grass.
He is a great walker, though carrying on basic training in a home would be great for Bears development. Bear is a sweet little boy who would fit into a range of home environments.

Ghost

Little Ghost arrived at the centre back in November with his siblings Bear and Amy. When he first arrived he was very reserved and nervous of all the new changes, but with some love and time from the kennel staff he has come out of his shell and turned into a happier dog.
He still has moments of nervousness and a bit hesitant of new people but once he’s had some time and has gained trust in the person he loves nothing more than having a cuddle on their knee.
Potential adopters would need to carry on basic training, he walks really well, but continuing this will help him settle into his new home. Ghost would love a sofa or a lap where he can cuddle up to his new adopters.

Amy

Little princess Amy arrived at the centre with her two brothers Bear and Ghost after their welfare needs were not being met. When she first arrived she was a bit nervous and hesitant of new people, but with love and care she has come on leaps and bounds since her first arrival.
Amy can still be hesitant of new people, but once she is comfortable with you she will curl up on your lap and doesn’t like it when you leave. Amy is a really good walker and loves going for a little potter around the area and having lots of sniffs.
She is a sweet little girl who needs love from a person to show her that the world isn’t so scary and someone who can give her all the love and attention she needs, as she is a little princess. Adopters will need to carry on basic training to help her settle well in a home.

Poppy

Poppy is an adorable four-year-old Frenchie
When Poppy arrived, she wasn’t in a good condition at all; she had a severe eye infection which had been left and meant she could no longer see out of her right eye.
Since Poppy has been with the RSPCA, she has undergone surgery to have her eye removed and this little treasure hasn’t let anything get in her way; she’s been an absolute dream and we have all fallen in love with her here at the centre.
Poppy has been in foster for just over a month now to help with her recovery and she’s taken to her foster home like a dream, her foster dad Paul can’t compliment her enough and she loves playing and relaxing with his two dogs in the home too.
Poppy is now fully recovered and ready to find her forever home, Poppy loves her little adventures and walks – even though she has one eye she doesn’t let this restrict her at all.Poppy loves nothing more than to snuggle up and cuddle, she’s a very affectionate little girl but she is also very playful and enjoys interacting with toys alone and with her humans.

Mavis
Mavis is looking for her forever family
(Image: RSPCA)
Mavis hasn’t had the best start in life, Mavis was found in an outbuilding abandoned until being rescued by RSPCA inspectors. Considering this Mavis still has a lot of love to give.
Mavis is currently been enjoying life in foster with her foster dad Tony, it’s unknown if Mavis has ever had a real home but she’s settled quite well in her foster home. With this Mavis struggles being left alone and she’s working on her separation every day and learning it’s ok to be left alone. This is something that will need to be continued in her forever home and she will need plenty of time and patience.
Mavis is an affectionate girl, she does love a good cuddle but like any typical staffy she is full of beans, Mavis loves greeting new people and it doesn’t take her long to get to know you as she’s quite the social bean.
