People have been out enjoying the snow across Greater Manchester. From sledging to building snowmen and snowball fights, families have been making the most of the wintry weather.
Much of the region woke up to a blanket of the white stuff following heavy snow overnight. It continued to fall throughout this morning, leading to road closures and travel warnings.
But the snow also makes for a nice picture, with some impressive wintery scenes across the region. Our photographers have been out capturing the joyful scenes as children and animals frolicked in the snow this morning (Sunday).
By mid-afternoon, the snow will be replaced by heavy rain across much of Greater Manchester, according to Met Office forecasters.
An amber warning for snow remains in place until 11.59pm on Sunday. It covers northern stretches of Greater Manchester and much of northern England.
A less-severe yellow weather warning for snow and ice is also in place covering much of England and Wales, running until 11.59pm, and on Sunday morning the Met Office issued a new snow and ice warning for much of the north of England, Scotland and north Wales, from midnight until 12pm on Monday.
