We all dream of engorging on a multi-course menu at a fine-dining restaurant, but in reality, can we all afford to? Well, dreams can come true when the affordable six-course dining experience, Six by Nico, opens at Quakers Friars – when we’ll all be living the high life in Bristol without breaking the bank.

With locations all over the UK – including Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham and London – Six by Nico specialises in six-course tasting menus that change every six weeks. The concept was dreamt up by owner and Michelin-trained chef, Nico Simeone. Each new menu is uniquely inspired by a destination, memories and creative storytelling.

Since opening the first Six by Nico in Glasgow, Nico has aimed to bring an accessible tasting menu experience to more people. Inspired by his Italian grandparents, who owned a chip shop, the debut menu Nico concept, ‘The Chippie’, celebrated both his Scottish and Italian heritage with dishes like the playful twist on a deep-fried Mars Bar—Chocolate Pave and Irn Bru Sorbet.

It’s this blend of heritage, creativity, and community that is at the heart of every Six by Nico location, so hopefully we expect some extra special Bristol flavours! Other Six by Nico menus have travelled to ‘Tokyo’, ‘New York’ and ‘Sicily’, while some fan favourites include a menu inspired by funfair rides and another by fairy tales. All menus come with a six-course vegetarian alternative, plus vegan options too.

Upon the arrival of the first Bristol location, Nico Simeone said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be opening our first Six by Nico restaurant in the heart of Bristol. This vibrant and bustling city has a unique energy that we believe will challenge our creativity and inspire us to push new boundaries. We’re excited to be part of the local dining scene and to share our passion for innovative, high-quality food with the people of Bristol.

“When we launched our ‘At Home’ service during the pandemic, we saw a strong connection with the local community, which made this opening feel like a natural next step. Forming strong relationships with local suppliers is a key priority for us, as we aim to bring people together and create unforgettable culinary experiences in this dynamic city.”

Opening this February, customers can experience Six by Nico’s unique tasting menu for £44 per person, if you’re looking to enhance your experience you can enjoy matching wine pairings for £30pp or a just-launched cocktail pairing (both alcohol and non-alcohol available), for £35pp. To keep up to date with the Bristol opening you can head here.
