Croydon and Lambeth boys among 5 charged after 50 phones stolen in Brent Cross Apple Store raid

Five teenage boys have been charged after a robbery at the Apple Store at the Brent Cross Shopping Centre. Police were called at around 2.35pm on Sunday, January 5 to reports a group had entered the shop before stealing around 50 mobile phones.

A video shared on X shows hooded teenagers rushing into the busy store at 2.30pm last Sunday and running out moments later. Terrified customers fled from the scene out of the front entrance.

The majority of the phones stolen were recovered by police. Six people were arrested following the raid and the Met Police have since confirmed that five have been charged.

Mycah Omo-Idahosa, 18, of Lothian Road, in Camberwell, Lambeth, will appear in custody at Willesden Magistrates’ Court today, Tuesday (January 7). It has been confirmed that two 15-year-old boys from Lambeth, a 14-year-old boy from Croydon and a 16-year-old boy from Cambridge have also been charged with robbery and will appear at the same court today.

They have not been named due to their age. One other 15-year-old boy arrested has been bailed while enquiries continue, the Met Police added.
