Boxing Day raiders steal cigarettes, vapes and booze from Midlands off-licence

A CCTV appeal has been launched after thieves broke into a Midlands off-licence on Boxing Day and cleared its shelves of goods. The thieves struck at the Bossman Booze store in Market Place, Uttoxeter last Thursday (December 26).

The burglars broke in on Christmas night into Boxing Day morning, with staff making the discovery and calling police at 9.30am. Burglars had stolen all the shop’s cigarettes, most of its vapes and some alcohol.

Now Staffordshire Police has released images of two men wanted in connection with the incident. With a third person also believed to have been involved.

The two men pictured were both wearing hooded jackets and had beards. One was carrying a bag, while the other had a long object in his right hand.

A spokeswoman for Staffordshire Police said: “We are appealing for information after an off-licence was targeted by burglars in Uttoxeter recently. We were called at 9.30am on Thursday (December 26) to the Bossman Booze store on Market Place after staff discovered a break-in which happened overnight.”

The statement continued: “The suspects had stolen all of the cigarettes, the majority of the vapes and a quantity of alcohol. We have carried out a review of CCTV footage and have released three images of two individuals we would like to speak to in connection with the theft.

“A third suspect is also believed to have been at the scene. Anyone who recognises those pictured or has any relevant information should contact us on 101 quoting incident number 102 of 26 December. To report anonymously, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
