Met Office weather maps show exactly when the cold snap will end

After several days of freezing cold temperatures and wintery showers, the weather is set to become milder this weekend with temperatures set to creep back up. The Met Office has issued dozens of weather warnings for snow and ice over the last week, with many areas waking up to a blanket of snow on Sunday morning.

However most of the snow was short lived and washed away by rain and sleet. Daytime emperatures over the last few days have ranged from 1°C to 5°C degrees, while overnight temperatures have reached as cold as -5°C in some areas.

Tuesday is set to be a milder today too, before temperatures drop off again until Saturday when a big change will be noticed. According to the Met Office, temperatures of 4°C were recorded in Wales at 9am on Tuesday, however in mid Wales the temperature remained at -2°C at this time.
