Two South East London stabbings that took place less than 24 hours apart are unrelated, police confirmed. The first incident on Monday and the second incident today (Tuesday, January 7) are in locations around 20 to 25 minutes or 1.2 miles apart.
The first incident took place near Shooters Hill Sixth Form College in Woolwich at around 4.20pm. A Year 12 pupil is in critical condition.
The second incident took place on Woolwich Church Street, near the southern ferry terminal, at around 2.30pm. The 14-year-old boy has died after being stabbed on a 472 bus. While no arrests have yet been made, investigations are underway. Several London bus routes are diverted: 161, 177, 180 and 472.
