Woman suffers life-changing injuries after Hereford collision at pedestrian crossing

A 90-year-old pedestrian has suffered life-changing injuries after a collision. The incident involved a crash with a van in Hereford.

West Mercia Police said she was seriously injured at a pedestrian crossing on Holme Lacy Road in Hereford, at 6.20pm yesterday, Monday, January 6.

Police are appealing for witnesses and are asking for anyone with information to contact them. The driver of the van is assisting officers with their investigation.

West Mercia Police said: “Officers are appealing for information after a pedestrian was seriously injured in a collision yesterday (Monday 6 January). At around 6.20pm, a pedestrian and a van have collided at a pedestrian crossing on Holme Lacy Road in Hereford.

“The pedestrian, a 90-year-old woman, suffered serious injuries which are considered life-changing. The driver of the van is assisting officers with enquiries. Anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage, is asked to email Robert.conway@westmercia.police.uk.”
