Coronation Street’s Charlotte Jordan, known for her role as the feisty barmaid Daisy Midgeley, is set to depart from the long-running ITV soap later this year to “explore other opportunities.”
Since her arrival on the cobbles in 2020, Charlotte’s character Daisy has been central to a blackmail plot, and was stalked by Justin Rutherford, which culminated in Daisy and Ryan being the victims of an acid attack. Both the Katie Piper Foundation and Acid Survivors Trust International supported the production team when the scenes were filmed, and provided information on the long term impact of an acid attack.
While Charlotte hasn’t shared the news on her social media yet, a source told The Sun: ““Charlotte has loved her time on the cobbles but is young, ambitious and hungry to see what else is out there for her. She told bosses last April that her next contract would be her last, giving them a year to craft an exciting exit storyline. She’s still filming now and her final scenes will play out in early summer. She’s adored by cast and crew and will be hugely missed.”

Charlotte said: “My time at Coronation Street is something I’ll always cherish. After a brilliant four years for Daisy, it’s time for me to start a new chapter and explore other opportunities.”
This departure follows closely on the heels of Helen Worth’s exit as synonymous Gail Platt after five decades, marking a period of change for the show. The series anticipates saying goodbye to five actors in 2025, with Colson Smith’s Craig Tinker also confirmed to be leaving the Street as revealed on Monday, January 6, reports The Mirror.
As well as Colson, Coronation Street regulars Sue Cleaver and Sue Devaney, known for their roles as Eileen Grimshaw and Debbie Webster respectively, are gearing up to make their exits soon, while Luca Toolan, who brought Mason Radcliffe to life, has already left the show.
Lucy Fallon, who plays Bethany Platt, is also due to leave, but only temporarily. Lucy announced that she is expecting a baby, so Bethany will be written out for a time while Lucy is on maternity leave.
