Claudia Winkleman was left stunned when her husband Kris Thykier and their children flouted one of her cardinal rules.
The 52-year-old star revealed that Kris, along with children Jake, 21, Matilda, 18, and Arthur, 13, have not watched any of her TV projects, under “strict instructions” from the presenter. That is despite Claudia fronting some of the biggest shows on screen, such as BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing and The Traitors.
Despite this, Claudia revealed to Closer magazine that her family couldn’t resist tuning into The Traitors. The gripping gameshow has audiences on edge as participants try to identify the ‘Traitors’ among the ‘Faithful’, or face ‘death’.

The nail-biting finale of the previous series captivated over eight million viewers, witnessing ‘Traitor’ Harry Clark claim the hefty £95,150 prize. The popular series made its comeback on New Year’s Day.
Speaking about her strict TV policy at home, Claudia shared with Grazia: “They have not watched me. They’re not allowed.

“Nobody watches anything I do in my house, under strict instructions. Although they broke rank and watched The Traitors and I was appalled.”, reports Bristol Live.
Despite the success of The Traitors, Claudia admitted she initially had reservations about how the BBC show would resonate with viewers, but decided to head to Scotland with the crew and “gave it our best shot”.
Claudia believes the success of The Traitors stems from the psychological thrills it offers, stating that the “dynamics are addictive” and she is “completely obsessed” with the series. Off-screen, despite her stern demeanour during the game, Claudia reveals growing a soft spot for the contestants, some of whom affectionately call her “Aunt Claude” or “Mummy”.
Confessing to a raw moment on set, she shared: “You don’t see it, thank God, but I really cried when somebody was banished this year,” adding, “I properly cried – it was probably a bit unhealthy. Two of the contestants came out and the three of us were just crying together.”
The Traitors airs on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 9pm on BBC One and on BBC iPlayer.
