Two more arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after Coventry shooting

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a shooting in Coventry. Police said a man, aged in his 20s, sustained serious facial injuries after shots were fired in Caludon Castle Park on October 21 last year.

A 19-year-old man was charged with attempted murder following the incident. Two men, aged 21 and 22, were arrested this morning.

Detectives said they were being held on suspicion of attempted murder. The arrests came after a further two men, 19 and 20, were previously taken into custody, before being bailed.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said this afternoon: “We’ve arrested two more men on suspicion of attempted murder following a shooting in Coventry. We acted on information and detained the men – aged 21 and 22 – earlier this morning.

“It comes after a man in his 20s sustained serious facial injuries after shots were fired in Caludon Castle Park on October 21 last year. A 19-year-old man has already been charged with attempted murder but we’ve been continuing our enquiries into what happened.
