One person said: “Worth the money for the brilliant suction power. This has almost the same suction power as my Shark upright vacuum cleaner. I have bought cheaper ones in the past and they do not have sufficient suction power, so spending the extra money was well worthwhile.

“A nice touch is that you can leave it on the charger base with no damage to the battery (according to their claims), obviously I cannot vouch for that claim yet. The dirt holder is quite small, and because it is so efficient it fills up fast, which is not a problem as emptying it is also fast.”

Another wrote “Hesitated about these handheld hoovers. Usually not great suction on handheld but this Shark one does the job, purchased for the car and it picks up dog hairs, stones, grass and bits very well. The hoover is small enough to hold and not heavy, super mode actually works, attachments are great, had to buy the upholstery tool separately, ah well got it on offer anyway!

“The bin bit is very small but does the job for me, was better than the £500+ brand we all know. Run time, it worked for me to do front and back of car and did not need charging, I have not left it on till it drained yet.

“Charges within the hour. Well recommend for the price but when on offer £130!” Of the negative reviews, one person said “All I have done is clean my desks and synths of dust. No heavy-duty cleaning. Cleaned the filter once a month. But now its developed a while and vibrates so loudly. If it cannot clean up light dust from some synths then what is its purpose? Will never buy from Shark again.”

Alternatively, you can try the Multi Cordless Handheld Vacuum, which is £169.99 at GTech. Elsewhere, there’s the Ryobi RHV18-0 18V ONE+ Cordless Hand Vac, which is £54 at Halfords.
