Joanne’s foray into the world of entertainment commenced in the late 90s, with her breakthrough role as Zoe Tattersall in the renowned British soap opera Coronation Street.

Her character Zoe made her debut on the ITV programme in May 1997. The part of the rebellious pregnant teenager was a hit, with actresses Jane Danson and Georgia Taylor auditioning for the role before they were eventually cast as the Battersby sisters, Leanne and Toyah.
