ITV The Chase’s Paul Sinha admits ‘not my best performance’ as he struggles in final

Paul Sinha released a short statement after being bested by a team on The Chase.

Bradley Walsh introduced four new contestants, all eager to leave the show with some winnings. The first contestant to challenge Paul Sinha was Neil, a 50-year-old pensions consultant. He got off to an impressive start by correctly answering eight questions in the cash builder round.

Despite The Sinnerman’s low offer of £3,000, Neil stuck to his original amount and successfully made it to the final chase.

Next up was Tim, a fish farmer from Derbyshire. Despite prematurely answering a question before Bradley had finished asking it, the 60-year-old managed to accumulate £4,000, reports the Express.

Like his predecessor, Neil, Tim chose the middle offer and secured his place in the final chase.

The third player to face The Sinnerman was Sally, a 23-year-old assistant accountant. She answered four questions correctly and followed her teammates’ example, taking the middle offer into the head-to-head round.

Even though Paul was just one step behind her, Sally maintained her cool and joined Neil and Tim in the final chase.

The last contestant was Helen, who also answered four questions correctly in the cash builder round. Refusing to take the minus offer, Helen stuck with her initial earnings.

The 35-year-old had no trouble making it to the final chase, resulting in a full house against The Sinnerman.

During the final chase, the team managed to get 17 questions right. Despite host Bradley Walsh thinking they were a couple of answers short, chaser Paul Sinha had to try to catch them.

However, The Sinnerman seemed to have difficulty throughout the final chase, getting several questions wrong. With the team successfully executing pushbacks, Paul still had five questions left when time ran out.

As a result, each team member took home £5,000. After the game, Bradley spoke to Paul about his performance, and the professional quizzer conceded that it wasn’t his best showing.

“Not my best performance, but you played really well. You deserved everything so congratulations,” Paul remarked.

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
