Police dog Tyco catches driver ‘hiding in a tunnel’ after ramming cop car

A police dog captured a driver hiding in a tunnel after he ‘rammed’ a cop car when they tried to stop him.

The canine, named Tyco, sprang into action after the car was found abandoned. Lancashire Police Dog Unit said one of their patrols was rammed when they tried to stop the vehicle before it fled the scene.

Tyco arrived in the area 20 minutes later and used his snout to make ‘light work’ of locating a passenger ‘hiding in trees’. The driver was eventually located ‘hiding in a tunnel’ and he gave up ‘at being face to face with 42 teeth’.

Police said the driver was charged with numerous motoring offences and both are under investigation for other offences. The exact date and location of the incident has not been released.
