Coronation Street fans call out Eileen Grimshaw exit ‘plot hole’ ahead of final episode

Coronation Street fans reckon they’ve worked out a future blunder regarding Eileen Grimshaw’s anticipated exit as the return of a familiar face gets confirmed in relation to her forthcoming departure.

Sue Cleaver has conveyed her emotions about departing Weatherfield following two and a half decades on the show, remarking: “I’ve had 25 privileged years of working on Coronation Street. The door is still firmly open, but as I reached my 60th year I decided it was time to embrace change, look for new adventures and live fearlessly.”

Eileen will be leaving close on the heels of her beloved adversary Gail Platt, with Helen Worth recently making her exit from the enduring drama on Christmas Day, after a distinguished 50-year run as the Platt family’s matriarch.
