ASTON VILLA and Brighton shared the spoils at Villa Park as they played out an entertaining 2-2 draw.

But hosts Villa levelled shortly before half-time after a VAR review determined Morgan Rogers to have been fouled by Joao Pedro.

Watkins stepped up and dispatched the spot kick for his eighth goal of the season.

And Morgan Rogers rifled home to complete the turnaround just two minutes into the second half.

But Tariq Lamptey had the final say late on when he fired beyond Emi Martinez to earn a vital point for Brighton.
