A man hurled misogynistic abuse at a young woman outside the A&E department at a Yorkshire hospital – prompting a manhunt for hate crime.
At 9.15pm on Saturday, November 9, last year, North Yorkshire Police were called to reports of the hate crime. It happened outside of the York Hospital’s A&E department when a young woman was subjected to misogynistic abuse by a man she did not know.
Now, the police have released CCTV footage of a man they would like to speak with in connection to the abuse. The police said: “We are releasing this CCTV image of a man we would like to speak to in connection with a hate crime incident at York Hospital.
“The incident occurred at approximately 9.15pm on Saturday 9 November 2024, outside the A&E department of York Hospital. A young woman was subjected to misogynistic abuse by an unidentified male.

“If you recognise the man in the CCTV image, please get in touch with us, as he may have information to assist our investigation.”
