Manhunt after robbery outside Gloucester pub

Police investigating a robbery in Gloucester are appealing for witnesses to come forward. It was reported that a violent robbery took place outside a pub on Barton Street and two men on bikes were in the area acting suspiciously.

Police were called to the scene outside the One Eyed Jacks pub between 5.30pm and 6pm on Saturday, December 7, 2024. One man was arrested at the scene and one man is thought to have fled, police have said.

A 28-year-old man from Gloucester has been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and theft. He was released on bail with conditions to appear at court at a later date.

Officers are appealing for anyone with information, or who witnessed the incident to come forward. A statement from Gloucestershire Police said: “Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident which took place in Gloucester last month.

“It was reported that a robbery took place outside One Eyed Jacks on Barton Street between 5.30pm and 6pm on Saturday 7 December. Officers attended and a man was arrested at the scene. A second man is believed to have left the area before officers arrived.

“A 28-year-old man from Gloucester was later charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and theft. He was released on bail with conditions to appear at court on a later date.

“Investigating officers would still like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or saw two men on bicycles acting suspiciously. Information can be submitted by completing the following online form and quoting incident 503 of 7 December.”
