Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a spate of anti-social behaviour in the Forest of Dean. Nine incidents involving anti-social riding of off-road bikes were reported to police last weekend.
It has been reported that damage has been caused to the woodland in Lydney, Coleford, Cinderford and Broadwell. The bike riders were also spotted pulling wheelies and riding through red lights, police have said.
Anyone who has any information about or has witnessed the anti-social bike riders is asked to contact Gloucestershire Police. Officers will be proactively patrolling the area.
PC Dave Tamlin, from Forest of Dean Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “Behaviour of this type is known to impact many people, from those living in the area to tourists. We continue to ask members of the public to help us by reporting incidents and, if possible, supplying photographic or video evidence.
“Neighbourhood officers will be conducting patrols of the area in an attempt to prevent further anti-social behaviour.”
