Silent Witness actress Emilia Fox has shared a surprising revelation about her career path.
In a conversation with Kate Thornton on the White Wine Question Time podcast, the 50-year-old actress disclosed that she hadn’t initially intended to pursue a career in acting.
Emilia said: “I did not want to be an actor at all. And mum and dad really encouraged me to carry on with my academic studying.”
Despite her successful four-decade-long career, Emilia was focused on her university studies when her acting career took off unexpectedly.
It was during her summer break from Oxford University, while working as a waitress at a pub in Primrose Hill, that the owner, a close family friend, suggested she consider acting.
