A separate survey by Travelodge found that a third will holiday in Britain in 2025, as they plan to make their money go further, and consider the environmental impact of flights. A majority of those surveyed said their main holiday will be in June, lasting 10 days.
Two in five of those planning a UK holiday said they also wanted to avoid the stress of travelling overseas.
A Travelodge spokesperson said: “We are seeing a broad spectrum of curiosity in UK travel with location and value continuing to top the list as the most important factors.”
