BBC The Traitors fans slam star’s behaviour during bitter row as it all ends in tears

Drama reached new heights in Friday’s episode of The Traitors, sparking quite the social media buzz as two contestants faced off amidst an intense challenge.

During the latest game, players were tasked with ‘marking’ opponents, while those being targeted wore masks, shrouding their attacker’s identity. When Minah found herself covered in goo and questioned Dan, a friend, about his involvement, he initially denied it, leading to shock when she unearthed the truth – Dan, assisted by Leanne, had indeed marked her.

Feeling deceived, Minah concluded that Dan had ‘betrayed’ her trust. The viewing public took to social media platforms en masse to share their takes on the explosive moment, reports the Mirror.

“Minah? Girl you’re a whole traitor, you can’t be upset at Dan for not being truthful with you,” one viewer posted, highlighting the irony of Minah’s role as a secret Traitor.

Others joined in the critique, adding: “You’ve not been entirely honest with Dan though, Minah.”

A third commented: “Minah is a traitor yet she’s moaning about trust.” While another pointed out: “Minah actually getting upset with Leanne and Dan for marking her when you are the biggest liar in there, come on luv.” (sic)

Echoing these sentiments, another added: “Not Minah trying to take the moral high ground when she’s snaking every single person in there!”

Minah’s time to dwell on any malice towards Dan was cut short when he became the latest to be cast out into the cold from the round table on Friday night. Adding to the shock, it was another one of the Faithful who bit the dust, paving the way for Minah and co-conspirator Linda to reign supreme as they dodge the suspicions of their fellow Faithful, picking off one after the other.

Detected only by a few, Minah has cleverly navigated her way beneath the cloak of the Faithfuls’ distrust in one another, even if her tactics have stirred discontent among viewers.

Nonetheless, fans are tipping their hats reluctantly to her prowess, with one taking to Twitter to write: “Minah is a fire Traitor.” While another declared: “Minah is audacious, omg.” (sic)

One Tweet read: “Minah is just carrying Linda through this whole thing.” And yet another fan praised: “Minah is an absolute master at this game… so far.”

Before her emergence on the show, Minah, hailing from Liverpool and managing a call centre, let slip that she may be the one to keep eyes on, declaring how often she’d been identified as a prime candidate for the series.

“After season two, people kept saying to me that I’d be so good on that show,” she reminisced.

She also disclosed her partiality to weaving harmless deceptions, saying: “I think I like it because I like playing pranks on people and telling them little white lies, innocent lies – I think that’s probably what drives me.”

Echoing the victorious Harry from the prior season, she observed similarities in their personalities, potentially marking her as a dark horse in the competition.

“In this game I will cheer everyone on in the Missions to get them done and to get the money. Secretly you’re thinking, I need this lot to work hard to earn my money that I’m going to take at the end,” she said.

The Traitors returns next Thursday on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
