Scots ex-Tennent’s worker fighting for Russia claims he’s killed 10 soldiers

A MERCENARY ex-Tennent’s brewery worker fighting for Russia bragged of killing ten soldiers in Ukraine — as he drank a tankard of beer.

Jay Fraser, 24, made the sick boasts in a video sent directly to The Scottish Sun on Sunday.

Wagner founder Yevgeny Prigozhin was killed when his plane exploded near Moscow in 2023

And Fraser claimed the Wagner Group of Russian mercenaries now wants to recruit him based on his claimed double-digit murder count.

His disgusting crowing comes after we told on Wednesday how hero medic Jordan Maclachlan, 26, from Arnamurchan, Inverness-shire, died on the frontline while serving Ukraine.

Brew-supping Fraser, who has been disowned by his family, says in the shocking footage: “Well, I’ve got ten confirmed kills so far — here’s to ten more.”

He even claimed that British troops were being cut down by him and his trigger-happy cohorts.

Fraser, from Dunblane, Perthshire, said: “Keep sending your f British Army lads over here.

“We’ll keep sending them back home in boxes.

“Training accident, was it? Alright, training with what — how to get hit by a Kinzhal missile?”

Scottish Liberal Democrat leader Alex Cole-Hamilton blasted Fraser’s video.

He said: “This is as stupid as it is deplorable. I cannot see why anyone in their right mind would want to fight for a regime that has murdered and tortured its way across Ukraine.

“If his claims are true, he should face the full force of the law for his treacherous actions.

Scottish brewer fighting as mercenary for Putin in Russia

“Putin’s illegal war has left tens of thousands dead. Britain must redouble its efforts to see Putin defeated.”

Fraser has appeared on a number of propaganda channels, documenting his life as a Western defector.

He is understood to currently fight for the Pyatnashka International Brigade and he has also applied for Russian citizenship.

Fraser boasted: “Offered a contract with Wagner when I’m done here.”

The claimed job offer could land him with 14 years in prison here if he accepts.

Wagner was founded in 2014 by deranged warlord Yevgeny Prigozhin, who is now dead after staging a short-lived mutiny against depot president Vladimir Putin in 2023.

It has been proscribed as a terrorist organisation in the UK since 2023.

Belonging to it or actively supporting it is a criminal offence here.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We are aware of this further information and our enquires are continuing.

“Anyone found to be committing a criminal offence could be subject to criminal proceedings using existing legislation on their return to the UK.”

The Foreign Office has warned that people travelling from the UK to fight for Russia could be prosecuted on their return.

Its guidance states: “If you travel to Russia to join the Russian army, or to help others engaged in the war with Ukraine, you could be breaking UK laws.

“You could be prosecuted when you return to the UK.”
