A woman who ate a whopping 3,000 calories a day has revealed how she managed to shed almost three stone.
Margaret Hulse would order up to three takeaways a week and regularly gorged on high-carb snacks.
Her unhealthy diet meant the 66-year-old, from the Winsford area of Cheshire, eventually felt “very tired and jaded”.
Tipping the scales at 14 stone, Margaret decided enough was enough and signed up to Greater Manchester and Cheshire slimming group Beeweighed in October 2023.

Incredibly, she went on to shed 2st 13lbs – going from a dress size 18 to a 14.
“I decided to lose weight for health reasons and to feel more confident,” Margaret told the Manchester Evening News.
“[My] weight gain was due to a variety of issues such as takeaways and the same old eating habits of lots of carbs. I was feeling very tired and jaded along with my health deteriorating.”
Margaret says she decided to turn her life around after seeing a photo of herself she didn’t like. “I remember I felt absolutely devastated when I looked at a photo of myself and hated what I saw,” she added. “So there are very few photos of me now.”
Margaret now believes the main reason for her transformation is eating whatever she likes – but in moderation.
“Anything is okay, but I watch my daily calorie intake,” she added “Beeweighed is great to be a member of; the group leaders are fab.
“Lynda, the founder, lives and breathes her business. Because of that, there is total commitment from her and her leaders.
“The groups are non-judgemental so you don’t feel like a failure at any point during the journey. I feel great but wish to lose another 10lbs and I have that as my goal for May 2025.”
Beeweighed founder, Lynda Leadbetter, added: “Margaret is an absolutely wonderful lady who has achieved incredible success. She brings positivity and encouragement to every online group meeting and is always there to support fellow members.
“Both her leader and I are immensely proud of her accomplishments and the important role she plays as a valued member of our Zoom community.”
