Royal insiders have suggested that Zara and Mike Tindall are prepared to “step up” and support Prince William if he requests their help, revealed a Royal expert. Currently dazzling crowds at the 2025 Magic Millions events down under, the couple’s popularity has soared, earning them the affection of many Royal enthusiasts.
Royal commentator Jennie Bond notes that Zara and Mike enjoy “the very best of both worlds”, with their special status in the Royal Family allowing them commercial opportunities without stirring controversy.
Jennie remarked, “Although they don’t have titles, they obviously have the cachet of being so much part of the extended Royal Family. They have managed to use that commercially without getting into too much bother.”
On their readiness to assist Prince William, Ms Bond added: “They are both very close to William, and if he calls on them again (as he did at a garden party last year), they will definitely agree.”

However, she clarified that this willingness doesn’t extend to taking on official duties, as she commented, “Not to an official working role, nor do I think the public would want to fund any more working royals,” reports the Mirror.
Admiring the Tindalls after spotting them at Australian events, the expert said: “Zara really is a remarkably beautiful woman, no wonder Mike always looks so proud and happy. The feeling is mutual: she oozes love for her big bear of a rugby star husband, with his crooked nose and rugged appeal.”
Zara Tindall, aged 43, and her husband Mike Tindall, 46, seem to be enjoying every moment of their lives at Princess Anne’s Gatcombe Park estate in the heart of Gloucestershire, according to Royal commentators.

Delving into the dynamics of Zara and Mike’s relationship, Royal expert Ms Bond observed: “Zara really is a remarkably beautiful woman, no wonder Mike always looks so proud and happy. But the feeling is mutual: she oozes love for her big bear of a rugby star husband, with his crooked nose and rugged appeal. I think we all enjoy seeing them out and about together, usually arm in arm or having a cuddle – living life to the full.”
This note of admiration comes amidst discussions over the future of Gatcombe Park, sparked by the revelations in the documentary ‘Gatcombe Park: A Royal Residence’.
The residence, purchased by Queen Elizabeth II back in 1976 and presently valued at £6 million, might potentially leave Zara and her brother Peter Phillips facing a considerable inheritance tax bill should they inherit. Interestingly, Simon Vigar, the Royal correspondent at 5 News, shared insights on Princess Anne’s attachment to her residence: “I think Gatcombe Park is the forever home for Anne and Tim, it’s obviously where she is happy. She’s been very happy there since the late 1970s.”

Earlier today, reports highlighted a property expert’s warning that Zara and Peter could confront significant financial implications linked to the Gatcombe Park estate.
Editor-in-chief at Majesty Magazine, Ingrid Stewart, commented on the future of Gatcombe Park, saying: “I think it’s absolutely no doubt that Zara and Peter will keep Gatcombe going, the last thing in the world they’d want to do is to have to sell it and they won’t.”
However, Zara and Peter could be facing a significant challenge if they inherit the estate – a hefty inheritance tax bill.
Terry Fisher from We Buy Any Home weighed in with his expertise, stating: “If Gatcombe Park is valued at £6million, inheritance tax (IHT) could be substantial. In the UK, inheritance tax is currently charged at 40% on estates exceeding the £325,000 threshold, unless exemptions or reliefs apply.”
