In her viral clip, she proclaims: “There are three things, if you remove from your house immediately, I promise you you will free up so much space. I removed those three things from my house, and my house instantly looks bigger, looks a lot tidier and looks so much fresher.”
She sheds light on what many fail to tackle, advising people to jettison any amassed boxes, any variety of glass or plastic containers, and plastic carrier bags without delay. We’re often guilty of stockpiling these items, cramming them into crevices and cupboards under the belief they’ll come in handy eventually.
Yet, clearing them out can genuinely revitalize your home, adding brightness and a sense of freshness. Chuoru’s decluttering tip is resonating widely, with her video amassing 2.9 million views and over 84,000 likes, as she propels viewers to throw away three common household items to transform their living spaces.
Commenters were divided into those newly persuaded by her decluttering approach and those who were long-time practitioners. One stated: “So true. We cleaned up Saturday morning and house seems wider.”
Another person relayed their own experience: “I just did a deep clean of my room, and getting rid of the boxes and plastic bags made it feel so much better.”
Proud ‘neat freaks’ also chimed in: “We reuse the plastic bags, but I fold them nicely, and I have a roll I sewed to put them in. Boxes always are recycled. Plastic containers are Tupperware that I use for my kids for leftovers, but they are stacked and put away in a container.”
Moreover, one comment endorsed the benefit of an uncluttered space: “Definitely I have no clutter and I’m so happy.”
