New ‘incredible’ Birmingham shop loved by Hollywood star will open this month

One of Birmingham’s newest shops will open this month, described as a ‘brilliant place’ with ‘amazing nerds’. Warhammer is a tabletop game in which people use miniature figures to battle against each other on a model battlefield.

The tabletop game has gone from strength to strength over the years and there are over 500 Warhammer shops across the world. Beyond the game, there is a video game series Warhammer 40,000 and a rumoured television series starring Henry Cavill set to debut on Amazon Prime.

Cavill is perhaps Warhammer’s most famous face, a super fan and an executive producer on the planned TV show. The Superman actor has been a fan since the age of ten and described it as ‘the stuff I do in my free time’.

And Jake Bates added: “The people that I spoke to in there were nothing but kind, polite and extremely helpful. When I asked about paints, they knew what they were doing and saying and were explaining things very easily to me and other people.

“When someone walked in, they greeted them and went over and offered them help. I can’t explain how good the people were and I can’t recommend this place enough.”
