The UK is yet to escape the wintry weather as snow blankets are set to cover a 400 mile plus stretch of the country towards the end of this month.
It comes as weather forecasts from WXCharts a rush of snow layered up right from Southampton, all the way up to Edinburgh reaching harsh depths of up to 8cm.
The weather maps for January 24, shows a cold blast moving in from the atlantic and hitting the UK.
From 6am Monday 24 January, Manchester and Newcastle experience snow and showers of rain, throughout the day.
By 12pm, the harsh conditions would have spread south, hitting the Midlands, Cardiff and Southampton and across up north, targetting Edinburgh.
The majority of the hit will be taken by Wales and the area is nearly completely shaded in white – indicating snow. Parts of the UK will see snow depths reaching 8cm as it gets to midday.
The predicted weather comes after the country experienced a period of heavy snow and freezing conditions with yellow weather warnings and health alerts issued nationwide.
On Monday, 25 flood alerts and one flood warning are in place for areas across the UK. The alerts issued are for the next five days with warnings that “land, roads and some properties may flood”.
However, between Friday 17 January and Sunday, 26 January, the Met Office predicts that temperatures will reach “a little above average” and patches of frost and fog could be “under clearer skies and lighter winds”.
So before the snow blitzes through the UK again, we may have a little bit of time to get ourselves prepared.
