Manchester Airport has revealed its top destinations for December, and a popular European city has bagged the number one spot.
Amsterdam was the most popular destination among passengers last month, with a whopping 110,980 travellers getting off to the Dutch capital.
The city is known for its beautiful canals and picturesque buildings. It’s also home to several world-famous museums including the Van Gogh Museum, the Rembrandt House Museum and the Anne Frank House. Visitors also head to the city for its infamous nightlife, which includes the Red Light District.
The second most popular destination was Dubai, with 108,534 passengers heading to the city in the United Arab Emirates. A popular winter sun destination in its own right, it’s also a major international travel hub connecting passengers from Manchester to places in Australia, Asia, Africa and more.
