Martin Lewis’ MSE issues unwelcome warning to Chase Bank customers

Martin Lewis and his Money Saving Expert team have shared a warning to Chase Bank savers. Mr Lewis, the BBC and ITV star, says the Chase bank rate may be dropping to 3.5% as the Cost of Living crisis continues nationwide.

MSE explained: “If you took out Chase’s popular boosted saver before 9 December 2024, your rate will drop from 4.5% to 3.5% on Thursday 16 January as your boost comes to an end. Chase will also cut the rates on ALL its savings by another 0.25 percentage points in February.”

On Thursday 16 January, the original 1% AER bonus expires. On Wednesday 19 February, ALL of Chase’s savings rates will drop by another 0.25 percentage points. MSE warns you could “earn more” on your savings elsewhere.
