Tesco is offering a Silentnight Heated Hoodie for just £20, which heats up in minutes and could help reduce your energy bills. The savvy shoppers among us know that it’s often more cost-effective to heat ourselves rather than our homes, and this oversized hoodie could be the perfect solution.
The Silentnight Heated Hoodie usually retails at £25. However, Tesco Clubcard holders can currently snap it up for just £20. According to the product description: “The Silentnight Snugsie Heated Oversized Hoodie is the ultimate snuggly companion. It features a built-in heat pad that warms up in minutes, allowing you to enjoy extra cosy comfort.”
Tesco explains that the hoodie comes with a USB cable and power button with three heat settings that are “super easy” to use. You can feel the warmth “in minutes”. The store added: “Crafted with super soft fleece and a snuggly sherpa reverse for maximum cosiness and luxurious warmth.” Plus, it’s machine washable once you disconnect the power bank.
While the Silentnight Heated Hoodie is currently sold out online, shoppers have reported seeing it in-store, reports the Express. Depending on stock availability, grey and sage green colour options are available.
Alternatively, Dunelm has reduced the price of its Velvet Oversized Hoodie with Fur Lining from £25 to £17.50. This well-reviewed adult hoodie is available in one size, with blue or pink colour options available.

One satisfied customer exclaimed: “Lovely warm hoodie don’t need the heating on when worn, finished to a high standard and a nice navy blue colour.” Another commented: “Lovely and fluffy, it looks fabulous and feels cosy. Just right for relaxing in the Winter evenings.”
Dunelm also has a Carmen Fleece Electric Over Blanket for £49, available in grey, pink, and blue. An enthusiastic reviewer said of the blanket: “Best purchase this year for me! I love snuggling up under this lovely blanket and saving on heating in the house.”
Another added: “Bought this as a Christmas present for my son as he works from home 2 days a week. He’s very happy with it as it’s lovely and soft and plenty big enough for all 6ft 1″ of him. I’m so impressed I’m going to buy one for myself.”
While it may sometimes be helpful to ‘heat the human’ rather than ‘heat the home,’ it’s still important to ensure that your home is properly heated during the winter to prevent frozen pipes or damp issues. It’s also important to ensure your home is adequately heated for your health, with older people or those with certain health conditions more at risk from cold temperatures.
