An urgent search has been launched to trace a missing teenage girl from Warrington. Tia Thomas, 17, was reported missing from her home in the Winmarleigh Street area at 11.44pm on Sunday (January 12).
The 17-year-old is described as white, around 5’5″ tall, of proportionate build, with brown hair and brown eyes. A photo of Tia has been shared by Cheshire Police.
Although she is from Warrington, Tia has links to the Runcorn area of Cheshire as well as Wrexham, the force said. A direct appeal has also been issued to the teenager in a bid to find her.
Police Constable George Unsworth, of Warrington LPU, said: “It has now been fifteen hours since Tia was last heard from and we are becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare.
“We have been conducting a number of enquiries to locate her since she was reported missing and would now like to appeal to anyone who may have seen her or has any other information on her whereabouts to get in touch with us.
“We would also like to appeal directly to Tia to get in touch and to let us know you are OK, as your friends are growing increasingly concerned.”
Anyone with any information regarding Tia Thomas’ whereabouts is asked to contact Cheshire Police via the website or on 101 quoting IML2004208.
